I’m currently 19 and wondering the legality about carrying a handgun in my car or openly carrying on myself. (I know in the car it has to be unloaded) My question is say I’m pulled over and inform the officer I have a handgun (assuming it’s stored properly) can I be arrested or questioned for the possession of it? From my understanding possession under 21 but over 18 is legal, but transfers to that age group is possibly not, so could I be placed in a position where I’d have to disclose where I got the handgun and therefore throw whoever I got it from under the bus?
