I had a pretty unnerving road rage incident on my way to work yesterday. A passenger in a vehicle in front of me went became irate and went psychotic because I approached their bumper too quickly and "almost hit them" while they were stopped. I never made contact with her vehicle and I wasn't driving aggressively toward them. The male passenger turned around in the seat looking back at me and was going nuts screaming and throwing his hands in balled fists at me then partially exited the vehicle by rolling the window down and sitting on the window ledge screaming he was going to f--- me up and beat my f------ a--. This guy must have had something else going on because his behavior was incredibly volatile.I was completely boxed in with no avenue of escape as I had vehicles on each side of me as well as behind. I had my Glock 19 in my center console. The first thing I did was grab my tactical flashlight (O-Light M21x) which I always keep in my cup holder on my driver side door and it's automatically set on strobe. The first thing that came to my mind was that I would shine the strobe in his face if he was going to advance toward my vehicle.I didn't engage him, I maintained a cool and calm demeanor and didn't react or instigate. If he were to have approached my vehicle would it have been a wise decision to shine him in the face with the tactical flashlight? My thought is it would temporarily disorient him and dissuade him from continuing his assault. Thank you. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2N8jL8d
