I just had an unpleasant encounter and I wanted to get your opinions as to whether I acted appropriately.I'll keep it as breif as possible. My girlfriend and I pulled up to a parking spot on the street opposite the restaurant we were going to. The part of town its in is kinda shitty and there are no other open stores next on the street of this restaurant. Also, its dark out (7:30pm). As I step out of my car a grimy looking dude about 6 feet tall makes a b-line towards me from across the street. He is moving quickly and as he walks he says "Can I ask you a question?" to which I responded very forcefully "no" and looked him in the eye. He then yelled "no?! blah blah fuck blah" I couldnt understand exactly what he said but by this point he was angrily yelling and was one lane (about 10 ft) away from me. I put my right hand on my gun (did not draw) and my left hand out at him and was I forcefully said something to the effect of "fuck off, get the fuck away from me" etc. He then changed direction at about a 6 ft distance and yelled some more shit.We left the area because he was lingering around a block away. Everything I did was purely from fear and instinct. On one hand, he may have just been a bum asking for change, but on the other hand he is a person I dont know in the night rapidly approaching me using a well known tactic of asking a question while closing distance.I basically would like to either validate my actions or learn from my mistakes because I dont want to be scaring/yelling at bums for no reason but I also want to remain unstabbed. What do you all think? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2WBh3eN
