Firearms prevent more deaths and crime than mass shootings cause.

https://ift.tt/2Yp7JyJ why doesn’t anyone ever talk about this after a mass shooting? Combine these statistics with the Neil Degrasse Tyson tweet and it seems pretty clear that guns should remain legal, from an objective standpoint. But why don’t ccw courses start training people to take on mass shooters? I understand the rhetoric of self preservation and protect yourself and your family first but at this point it seems like the right thing to do to try and save lives. It’s going to be tough to keep guns legal if all we have to justify them is statistics that state they save more lives than take when these mass shootings get so much press. Either everyone needs to be armed, which will never happen, or people who are need to take a risk when the time comes. This may seem stupid and many may disagree, and it is extremely risky. I just saw the active self protection video where the shooter had an accomplice that killed the man who shot at the initial shooter but that man did the right thing in trying just the same. Seems to me that carrying only to abandon everyone when you may be the one person who can help before the police arrive is wrong. Change my mind. I’d rather die trying to save lives than live the rest of my life knowing I did nothing to help. Either way I want guns to stay legal but we need to make the other side see it that way and there is not way to address the issue of mass shootings other than gun control or people who carry taking action. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2KsKsC9
