Blazer/Sport Coat as Standard Cover Garment for Urban Concealed Carry

Greetings!I'm new to the CCW community, and I've been doing some research on how to dress for concealed carry. It seems that the popular approach is to use an IWB (appendix or 4 o'clock) holster with loose fitting pants and a loose fitting shirt that is left untucked (i.e. "unfucked" in the local vernacular). If I plan to carry in an urban environment, say Philly, I was considering the use of a blazer or sport coat as my standard cover garment. As a white-collar guy, it's not out of character for me to wear a blazer anyway, nor would it seem out of place in (most) of the places I tend to frequent. Blazers and sport-coats go well with both jeans and slacks, and one can buy a lightweight cotton blazer to wear in the summer heat and/or more casual settings. It seems that it would be easier to move a blazer out of the way to draw a weapon than, say, a tshirt or sweatshirt. Depending on the length of the jacket, you might even be able to use an OWB holster--which is more comfortable and doesn't require oversized pants. Also, if someone spots your weapon, they'll be more inclined to assume that you're an off-duty cop or detective than a street thug. What are your thoughts? Does anyone already use a blazer as their standard cover garment? via /r/CCW http://ift.tt/2tja530
