My wife just took her concealed carry course over the weekend. For the course, I gave her my smallest handgun; a S&W Shield 9mm. She had difficulty racking the slide, disassembling, and just overall handling of the weapon due to her small stature and hand strength. I'm considering buying her a .380, but due to my lack of experience in that caliber, I'm looking for some advice on where to start looking.She needs something with a lightweight slide, small, and she would prefer a manual safety for her first carry gun.
