It is not brandishing if you acted in self defense

Tired of seeing people here and YouTube say don’t pull out or show your gun unless you’re going to shoot. Majority of the times a situation that can be stopped by just showing you’re carrying will make the other party leave, whereas if just wait till it becomes a shooting you’re gonna deal with a bigger headache. Example you get into a road rage with someone and both are yelling and you decide to pull out your gun that’s brandishing. If two guys are going towards you and their intent is to hurt you, it wouldn’t be brandishing if you reveal your firearm.
