Hi folks,I have hearing damage so I don't enjoy shooting anymore because I don't want to make the ringing in my ears worse. I still recognize that it is important to practice with your sidearm though. At this point I am considering buying a concealed carry pistol that can be fitted silencer, so I can mitigate some of the acoustic trauma associated with shooting when I practice. Also, I have read in this sub that .45 ACP rounds are slightly quieter than, say, 9mm rounds. This has got me considering something like a Springfield XD .45 ACP and a silencer. And good ear protection, obviously. What do you all think? My thought so far is that the Springfields that can be fitted with a silencer look too big for CC. And obviously if I did carry an XD I couldn't carry it with the silencer attached- that'd be just for practice at the range.Love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2IB0Vre
