Thoughts about replacing an oem magazine spring with a stronger spring for magazine extensions?

I have a shield and a taran tactical magazine extension for my 8 round magazine. Should it be necessary to replace the spring since it’s designed for 8 rounds? People have said they’ve had no reliability issues with the oem springs. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2HOmYdo
