I’m applying for a carry permit in Indiana. Is it weird that they require your employment info?

The application has a section for employment info, like company name, address and phone number, that you must enter before you can submit. I really don’t want my employer to know.I can’t carry at work—but it doesn’t even matter. I work from home for a state college. Is it typical to have to put you work info in?
