Avoiding an Out-of-Battery Failure in Compensated Weapons

I'm working on a compensated CCW set-up. The recent safety bulletin concerning the FNS and out of battery trigger malfunctions got me thinking about running compensators on carry guns as it would exacerbate the possibility of an out of battery failure when shooting from retention or fending off a gun grab. At least it seems like to me, I've never run a comp. Anyone with a compensated carry have mitigation strategies? Here is a PoliceOne article advocating a ground fighting-centric strategy near the end of the article:http://bit.ly/2J298m7 Response Training advocates good retention shooting technique over a stand off device:http://bit.ly/2IJirYC heard of people using a weapon-light as a stand off device, but I don't see that working too well on a compensated gun. I guess it would depend on the light and the compensator lengths. Here is the link to FN's bulletin:http://bit.ly/2IUvd5H think the solution for me will lie in working on pistol retention and ground-fighting skills over some equipment based solution, but I'm curious what r/CCW thinks. via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2IGSnNE
