Hey all, I know we love to talk about our guns, holsters, and ammo but I gotta ask the no fun question. Is OC spray the best deterrent if a gun isn't an option?I'm asking for my girlfriend. She works at a casino and carrying a gun isn't allowed. The casino is located next to an unsavory part of town. She has a good head on her shoulders and maintains situational awareness but another option would be great.I've looked into other options but their downsides are tough to overlook. A taser works great when the barbs both connect but it's a one shot deal. Plus we live in the north and winter coats can be like body armor for a taser. I checked out the pepperball thing but it seems like you'd have to get a head shot for it to work. And practicing would be expensive...My girlfriend is small and trying to find time to learn Chuck Norris kung-fu isn't practical. Additionally, I'd rather she have distance from the perp.
