Sig P238 SAO. Why cocked AND locked?

I am considering a Sig P238 (SAO) for CCW. My question is why is it recommended to carry it cocked AND locked if it has a firing pin safety? This prevents the pin from moving if the hammer falls on it without the trigger being pulled. The trigger pull is 7-8 pounds, which is more than a typical glock but the glock isn't seen as unsafe without safety engaged? The striker in those guns also has a similar safety so can someone please explain this reasoning to me? Thanks! via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3cwe3cf
