But to those who have been trained to see it for what it is, its a dangerous trap to fall into.By stating this, the prosecution is insinuating that you are a liar, and need to be reminded of the oath, or you may lie, or have been caught lying already. Its a way to predispose you to the jury.Massad Ayoob says in one of his videos something to the effect of this.To such a jab made by the prosecution, you need to say " Council, i am well aware that I am under oath, just as i am equally aware that you are not"It flips the table, and takes the title of liar from you, to the prosecution, in the juries mindI figured I'd share, as if any of you are ever in a self defense situation, or witnessee one, and are testifying, it could absolutely save your bacon. Especially if you dont get a judge as good as the one presiding over the rittenhouse trial. He slapped it down immediately and scolded the attorney.Watch this.
