I've been following the trial closely and an interesting exchange just happened- irrelevant to anyone's leaning on which way the case should go. Because Kyle had FMJ bullets in his gun, utter disregard for life is under consideration because the bullets could have gone through the intended target and hit another. I never thought that this sort of detail could have been gone into in a self-defense trial. It makes me call into question a few things:If he had been carrying hollow points instead, would the reverse argument have happened? "He was using hollow points instead of FMJ because he wanted to do more damage"What other aspects of the gun would matter in a trial? Would an aftermarket upgraded trigger make the gun "more deadly"? Or could an expert argue that people install them to make themselves more accurate and minimize collateral damage? Would a +2 baseplate come in as showing he wanted to shoot more people? What if these were aftermarket but OEM parts?Would the same logic apply to home defense? Are the details of the gun relevant because he took it in public?Curious about all your thoughts here. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3kyRvMC
