A bill has been introduced in the Texas legislature that would allow concealed carry permit holders to carry their firearms in every state in the country. The bill, HB 375, is sponsored by Rep. Drew Springer (R-Muenster). If passed, it would allow those who obtain a concealed carry permit in a state that allows them to carry to do so in all other states.I met Rep. Drew Springer and expressed my support for the gun bill. Please keep calling your Texas legislators.“This bill is about common sense,” Rep. Springer said. “It’s about law-abiding citizens who want to carry their concealed weapon, and they should be able to do it without having to jump through hoops.”Rep. Springer said current federal law makes it illegal for law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons in states that do not allow concealed weapons, such as California.“The federal government should not infringe upon the rights of law-abiding Texans,” Rep. Springer said. “This bill is about putting guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens who have the training and background checks to carry a weapon.”Rep. Springer said the current law allows criminals to carry a weapon anywhere in the country. He said this bill would remove a loophole that gives criminals an advantage. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3CSg7XH
