Came to Memphis to visit a friend, here it is 12 at night, in a not so safe but not terrible area either. One of those where a street divides the ghetto and upper class kind..Got stuck at a red light and a black compact car with tinted windows pulls up next to me. Didn’t think much at first but due to being a truck driver and motorcyclist I’m ocd about checking my mirrors and my surroundings.. next think I know 3 guys are getting out of the car in a hurry.Slammed my foot to the floor and ran the red. Freaked my friend out but even in daylight if 3 people rush out of a car next to me I’m gonna gtfo of there.I could have reached for my gun, but I wear it at about 3 o clock so it’s right next to the seat belt.Freaked the hell out of me but I’m also glad my first instincts were to run before pulling my firearm. My friend was pissed and said they could have just been swapping seats or something, and while that’s def a possibility, at midnight I’m not taking chances.Lesson learned and I’m no longer debating about a holster for my car. I’d rather swap between holster getting in and out of a car than not be able to react in time and get to mine due to a seatbelt via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/325O7iA
