Where do you draw the line between drawing and shooting and drawing to de-escalate?

In situations where you are being threatened with deadly force, given that you are not necessarily in a draw shoot situation, should you draw your weapon to mitigate the threat? Or should you not draw at all? Let’s say in a Stand your ground state. via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2E3JIS2
