Could you shoot in this situation?

I am of the opinion that you can not shoot unarmed people in most cases. I am being debated in r/streetfights over this post:https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFights/comments/antf0m/buddy_gets_brutal_knocked_out_in_front_of_his/​Most people there seem to believe that you can shoot a person in this situation while I feel reasonable force requirements say explore other options first. For starters this was mutual combat, not a random assault. Secondly the "victim" threw the first punch. Third no weapons are present.
