Opinion on carrying a single action revolver?

I know a semi auto would be a better choice, but I like everything about revolvers more. I'm just worried about the speed of firing, and if I ever have to use it, shoot to kill, would I have a chance to fire the second round? As for concealability, I'm from Seattle, so it's usually jacket weather and easier to conceal. What are the pros and cons of carrying a single action revolver?
