Traveling thru NY and NJ

Hey all,​My goal with this post is to make sure I am compliant with all laws in both states while traveling from my home-state of PA to my destination state of VT. We will be passing through both NY and NJ. I would like to bring my Glock 19 with a 15 round mag and hollowpoints. I understand the gun and ammo have to be separate and out of reach (as well as locked up), ie: in the trunk. FOPA states that one can pass through any state if its legal in the start and destination state. I just want to make sure FOPA covers the mags and ammo as well. I will make sure to carry a copy of 18 U.S. Code § 926A - Interstate transportation of firearms.​Any advice is appreciated. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2OXirZp
