What is it with CCW instructors trying to scare people, mainly women, into buying insurance?

I took my 2 CCW classes, first was OH second was SC after moving, both were straight forward. We went over current laws and what court cases set precedence for in regards to how you can defend yourself. They were both classes of about 15 people.My wife is in her class and texted me about USCCA liability insurance. Apparently its been mentioned multiple times. Most importantly "if we didn't have shooting liability insurance we could go to jail if we shot someone that broke into the house." Her class only has 3 people and they're all women. Why do ccw instructors use scare tactics especially when it could make someone hesitate to legally defend themselves? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3kyd5iT
