Hey Reddit,
A girlfriend of mine just moved to a bad neighborhood - maybe not the worst in the world but there is certainly an elevated risk of being attacked, raped, hurt, etc. She has no fighting or martial arts experience. Do you have any suggestions of non lethal weaponry she can carry with her to handle a nasty situation, and some tutorials/courses on how to use it? I'm thinking pepper spray, taser, etc., but I wanted to get some input from people with real world experience.
