I’m passing through Arizona and I have a question about something (not legal advice) regarding the Arizona statute regarding no-firearm signs. The statute has an “exception” that reads:C. It is an affirmative defense to a violation of subsection B of this section if:The person was not informed of the notice prescribed in subsection A of this section before the violation.Any one or more of the following apply:(a) At the time of the violation the notice prescribed in subsection A of this section had fallen down.(b) At the time of the violation the person was not a resident of this state.(c) The licensee had posted the notice prescribed in subsection A of this section not more than thirty days before the violation.I’m reading this as while the signs usually carry the weight of law, non residents are exempt. Am I reading this right? Is anyone understanding this differently? I just want a second opinion. via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2X18z3V
