Kentucky Constitutional Carry gets 18 crazy amendments.

Need help deciding on a mouse gun, have two in mind.
I really don't carry very often, and am looking to find something smaller than my 9mm shield. I have around $250 to put towards it, currently I'm considering a used LCP .380 or a Beretta 950 in .25 acp (about $40 more than the lcp). I don't really want to start a caliber war on what the minimum acceptable cartridge is, but I was wondering if there were any other options I should consider? Main concern is size, something smaller than the shield but not so small that it's impractical to even carry (ex .22 derringers and doubletap). Thank you. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2tJeLwE
I looked through FAQ, I'm not sure if my question applies here, MODS delete if not allowed. Thank you.
I have CCW permit/lifetime. The State I want to go to has reciprosity, no problem. My question has to do with buying, in another state. My family is so far away, I can only fly there. I do NOT want to go through all the crap at airport. I pass Federal background checks with no problem.Question: How can I buy legally, a spare pistol, in another State? Is it just as simple as walking into the store, give them my (resident) Drivers Liscence for my home state? Spare weapon for me would be stored in lock/safe/container only I would have key to, in my families house. I would visit family, (carry), then lock up weapon, and leave and jump on airplane back home.EDIT: there is no way I can establish residency in my families home state. I can't just take their electric/water bill and claim it as my own. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2BSlTLx
Cajun Gun Works, worth it?

Beltrami County, MN: 21 days
Notified today by Sheriff's Office that my CCW permit is ready to pick up. Will be wanting lots of range time with my CZ P10C 9mm. That is, if the snow ever leaves. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2T5sqgq
Any recommended IWB holsters for Rex Zero 1S?
I carry a glock 19 currently but just picked up a Rex Zero 1S and was wondering if anyone can recommend an IWB holster. I know being that it's a standard size pistol that it won't be the best for concealment so it won't be my everyday carry but I would like to carry/train with it at the range and possibly carry it during winter.I saw that Aliengear has one for this particular pistol but there aren't any reviews. Dara also makes one but it's for the compact model, which I don't have. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2tMrA97
CCW at Work
I have worked at a location for the past 3 years that prohibited me from carrying. I have recently switched to another company that has no rules against it, but I still carry it concealed. While I have read through countless posts on this subreddit stating that "nobody will notice", I was still concerned that somebody would freak out (even though I've been carrying for 4 years now).I should have been more trusting of you all. While I initially made sure that my shirt covered my gun by pulling on it while standing up and turning sideways when talking to people because I thought I was printing, I've since stopped and guess what... NOBODY HAS NOTICED. I even bent over to grab something, felt my shirt ride up a bit, but my coworker didn't notice. I love my new job and I'm delighted to finally be able to carry at work.P.S. I'm not sure if I put the right flair, I just wanted to post and say thank you to the community. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2H4mbSW

Best way for me to wear gun as ccw?
What would be the best way for me to wear a gun (M&P Shield semi-auto) for conceal carry? I have yet to take a CCW course and get the permit, soon on my agenda in the coming weeks. I guess the most likely interest I have for ccw is to wear ccw in a movie theater, theatre, out dining; the common factor in all those is I would be mostly sitting. What would be most comfortable-- a typical holster that goes inside my pants waist, or a leg holster given I might want to cross legs sitting in a theater/theatre, other? And is it best if I am right handed to have a holster on my right or put it on the left so I reach over with my right hand to draw it from the left side? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2UdhDNM
Moving from one county to another with a LCTF (PA CCW) question.
This just came to my mind now, but less than a month ago I moved to a new address with my wife. Ive not yet changed the address on my Drivers License, as that is expiring in 2 months anyway, but I have a License to Carry a Firearm in the state of PA. Being that I recently moved, do I have to get a new license (being this one is about 2 years old), and if so, do I notify the sheriff of the county that I originally got it in, or the sheriff of the county I just moved to? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2C0Xkfn

[PERMIT PROCESS] moving from TN to TX — how can I avoid another mandatory permit course?
Hi everyone, longtime lurker— appreciate this community!I am a citizen of Tennessee and concealed carry permit holder in that state. This summer I will be moving to Texas and am trying to determine how I can acquire a Texas concealed carry permit without sitting through another six-hour permit course.I searched Reddit and found a couple of threads about this but decided to post because the solution remains unclear to me. One thread spoke about acquiring an Arizona (!) non-resident license using my Texas address before applying in Texas, I assume — I have no idea if or why that would work, but I am open to suggestions. Thanks folks! via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Tag5rh
P365 Holster Recommendations
Just called my hometown LGS to reserve myself a Sig P365 to pick up this weekend (woohoo!), and I need some holster recommendations. This is only my 2nd CCW, upgrading from a 642 Airweight in a Bladetech holster.I have seen people like Vedder, Harry's, Stealthgear, etc. but I was hoping to get an AIWB recommendation from someone who carries the P365 right now. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Xrjxw9

In your opinions; what is a better handgun to conceal?Smith & Wesson M&P Performance Center .40OrSig Sauer 1911 .45I know neither of these are preferred conceal carry, but of the two, which would be your preference? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2tI4OiU
Specific Holster Need
Hi.I'm looking for a very specific holster. I want a "taco" style design (such as a Ragnarok or Veil Solutions Gladius) that takes up less belt space, but that has a mount that actually keeps the pistol close to the body. Tek-lok, Safariland mid-rides, RTI hangars... these are all bulky. Great for on-duty and working, massive for not then.Weapon is a P320 Full Size with Surefire X300u on it. Oh, and left handed. That's the killer for a lot of these big places- they don't do left-handed much.Any help you could offer would be outstanding. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2H72KJ1

Police relations
So I’ve been lurking on this subreddit for a couple months, and I wanted to get everyone’s opinion on law enforcement. I have the utmost respect for them. I’ve also noticed that some people are, how do you say, resentful? Towards law enforcement? I’m not sure that’s the correct term, but there doesn’t exactly seem to be huge support for them either. What are your thoughts? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2TjCiCB
Questions about printing.
Hi ya'll. I'll be turning 21 soon and getting my carry permit asap.I'd like to carry a full size but am quite skinny at 5'10 and 135 lbs. The Texas summer wardrobe also does not help.My question is, does anyone here just not care about printing? What are your experiences? I live in a pretty liberal area of central Texas. In places like my school campus I will be sure to fully conceal, as well as respect no carry zones.I probably have nothing to worry about, just looking to see if anyone has any notable experiences to share. Thanks for reading. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2IELvkM

Judging from the comments on this video, the CCW holder in this incident did everything with textbook procedure perfection. I would love to hear your guys opinions. This video was the first time I've seen a cop thank the CCW holder & shake his hand. Has anyone else had that happen or is it rare?

S&w 2.0 3.6 vs cz p10s vs sig p365
These questions are always subjective clearly. Never owned either of these guns (especially the p10s being so new). But I’m a longtime Glock guy and venturing out. Wondering anyone’s experience with any of these guns for ccw purposes. I have my home defense gun so strictly a daily carry gun. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2U7ZGQM

I'm an idiot.
So I took my CCW class here in South Carolina three weeks ago. This state already has a long lead time, so I've been counting the days. Opened the mailbox today to see a large, manilla envelope from SLED.First thought was that's to quick and too big for my license. Open it up and it contains everything I submitted including a page that lists what is wrong with the application. Highlighted was a check box indicating that my current address must match my license. I quickly scan my application to make sure I didn't put my old address on any line since I just moved. That was fine. Then I looked for the photocopy of my license.......I didn't send it with my application. I'm an idiot. Remember guys and gals, send in all necessary documents. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2H6jvUK

Trusting your gut and situational awareness [Discussion]
Let me start by saying where I live you don't need a permit to carry open or otherwise. I haven't yet taken the classes I want to nor do I have a daily carry holster yet, only a versa element IWB. That said I did pick up a P10C a while back for the purposes of carrying it. Now onto the story...A couple of weeks back I was leaving my house to get dinner and instantly felt like something was wrong. There was a feeling in the air of malice and ill intent. All I knew was that something didn't feel right and I was worried, one of those feelings you can't shake. After I put the kids to bed I had to go out to the barn a few miles away to feed the horses. I almost grabbed my holster and gun but decided not to just in case I get pulled over or something. Stepping out of the house really made me want to go back inside and clip the holster on. I couldn't shake the feeling for the rest of the night that something being wrong. To the point where I slept with my pistol loaded and ready to go in my night stand when it normally lives in the safe. Why am I going through all of this and putting it all out there? Turns out about 2.5 hours after I got home and secured the house not even 1/2 a mile away a man was murdered at a school in my neighborhood. When I woke up and the rest of the week even now I haven't felt that dread at all.My wife and I have struggled to trust our gut, and several times we've ignored a bad feeling and it's turned out not great for us. I feel like this is something that needs to be discussed more as humans as a species can pick up on a hell of a lot more than you generally are aware of. While I'm very glad I didn't get into a bad situation my gut told me it was quite possible. Trusting your gut is in my mind one of the most important things when CCW right up there with practice. Situational awareness is great but don't forget to listen to what your body is telling you as it may pick up on something you never would have seen otherwise. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Vpl0kS
Question about CCW and unopened alcohol in car

My AIWB vs hip observations
I really wanted to get into AIWB, but just couldn't make it happen.Things I loved about AIWB:Comfort with walkingAbility to bend over/down without printingFast drawMy issues with it:How to handle sitting in the car. Belt over the holster and I'm worried about driving the gun into my pelvis and possibly breaking the holster causing shards of kydex to go into the trigger guard.Printing. I always hear people say they are too fat for appendix. I am skinny so figured it would be great. Issue is I have no pecs so my shirts drape down my chest, then over the big lump known as the M&P. This is with a claw.Drawing while holding my kid. One of the big reasons I have a gun is to protect my family. There are a lot of situations where I am out and carrying my kid on my hip. I can draw one handed with the other hand when carrying on my hip, but with appendix, his leg is right on the gun.My irrational fear of a ND. I know it won't happen... in fact when appendix my gun doesn't even point at my femoral. But just being in that region freaks me out. And best case scenario if I had an ND it would blow my dick off which means no more sex for life.So overall looks like I'm sticking with hip carry. I honestly really wanted to like appendix but I don't think it is for me. Just wanted to share and see if anyone had similar experiences or any thoughts. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Vs8pgX
Officer refused CCW
Last night I was sitting in my vehicle at a park, (with my girlfriend) an officer rolled up. Had us both step out of the vehicle. Assuming we were having sex. As he asked for ID I tried to give him both my DL & CCW, he wouldn’t take the CCW instead just said Idc I see that. I got aggravated. Because I know if he’d had seen my firearm in the vehicle he would’ve made it a bad scene. I actually tried to inform him before I got out the vehicle but he was being an asshole and told me “ ok keep on being uncooperative” when honestly I just wanted him to be aware I was a CCW holder to avoid any confusion. Very frustrating.... via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2VnGoa3
Denied purchase but have a cpl, Wa
I'm having issues getting a pistol. I just got a call that Nics denied my purchase.I just got my cpl license in WA last week where they ran a Nics and everything went well. I did have a juvenile thing on my record that would disqualify me, but a judge passed a motion to seal back in November, allowing me to answer no to question 3 as it never existed.I'm just confused on why they would okay a cpl but deny a purchase. Looking for help or ideas on what to do next. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2IEGF6Z
Carry System Update
So, a few months ago I posted here asking suggestions and thoughts on a classic/cold war carry weapon. Here is my update if anyone is interested.I have since purchased a few items:Beretta 92FS Remington R1 GI 1911 Series 80 2xSmith and Wesson Model 36I enjoy carrying my beretta based on its magazine capacity, I dont mind the weight, but god damn is it long. I almost cant carry it in the small of my back because of the barrel length, and 5 oclock or appendix iwb because of the girth. I rock it with 2 extra mags under a jacket or hoodie. my concern here is that, as comfortable as it is OWB in the winter, summer is around the corner here in GA and OWB wont fly with concealment for me.Here comes in the 1911, this thing is heavy as all hell but I shoot it just a tad better than the M9. It is much more thin, this easier to carry IWB at my 5 oclock. I also run it with 2 spare magazines. This one I carry the least based on the weight, but in the summer it should help a bit. Only time will tell. This is where my Model 36 “Chief Special” comes in. I have one collectors and one to carry. BY FAR is this the most comfortable carry that I have had. It is a snub revolver, duh. However, the only crippling thing is my reloads with speed strips, atrocious. I am fine with the capacity of 5, and a strip can just slip into my pocket easy. I am handy with a speed loader, but that defeats the purpose of the low profile carry as I would need a pouch for it.Any feedback or thoughts are appreciated, lets start a cold war carry gun discussion!TLDR: Beretta good for winter, Model 36 good for summer, practice reloads. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2Tkdfzi

Strong side is pretty refreshing/carry rotation
Been carrying AIWB for almost two years. Love it, love the draw, I’m right on board with that. However, I recently rotated my carry from a G43 to a Canik Tp9SF in a hybrid holster I found for it some years ago on my right hip, directly 3:00 or sometimes 3:30.Edit: Glock was AIWB, no way for AIWB with Canik the thing is huge.Just wanted to say for those out there that haven’t been there in a while or feel a bit jaded on the subject (I was for a bit until I rotated), I found carrying this duty size pistol strong side to be both easy concealable, but it also felt super out of my way, I can bend down normally, etc. it was a refreshing experience that reminded me there is more than one way to carry a gun, and sometimes it can be gun dependent. Sometimes change is good. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2NxBLro
