So if you read my last post, you know I'm fairly new to the CCW thing. I've been going to the range and practicing and doing what I can to be a responsible and safe gun owner. However, I'm obviously not well versed in the gear department as I should be. Apparently I've decided to learn the hard way. Enter what happened to me a few nights ago.I was walking through a parking lot back to my car. It was fairly late and no one was around because of the storm. I slipped and 100% ate shit on a patch of ice. I knew I dropped my phone when I went down because I had it in my hand, what I didn't expect was that my gun came out of my holster and slid about a parking spots width away from me.So basically, I bought a cheap holster with what I now know has NO RETENTION WHATSOEVER. Luckily no one was around to see me pick it up and reholster, but holy fuck did I feel stupid. As soon as I got home, I started researching holsters and wound up purchasing a T1C Xyphos V2.God I hope that I never have anything stupid like this happen again. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3p2s1cS
