Doing a bit of research on what handgun to purchase for conceal carry. I’m by no means a gun enthusiast and have been overwhelmed by the the amount of choices. People I’m friends with are definitely enthusiasts who will say every gun is good (it’s not helpful). Definitely need advice on things like, beginner friendliness, size (5’10 190 ibs), and availability of the weapon, ammo, holsters etc. anyways here’s some I’m interested in. Any help is much appreciatedWalther ppk- I like the styling and no I didn’t know it had any relations to bond. Sounds like the made in USA version is much more reliable. But I’ve been told that I need to go 9mm as the .380 is “not good for home defense.” Can someone tell me what exactly that means? Is it a bad round for conceal carry? Makarov p-64- again like the style plus the history. I’ve been told the first thing you do is change the trigger springs and it becomes a great gun. Will finding the makarov 9x18 round be too much of a hassle? S&W M&P- probably the easiest to find but not all that exciting. I’ve been recommended this by many police officers as the go to. This or glock Sccy cpx - I’ve just now heard of them sounds like people like them and they’re affordable. Don’t know much about them, but would this be a good entry level gun to set the bar for future purchases? Are these good choices? If not what are others I’m missing? I’m open to hearing suggestions obviously. Should I look into revolvers? What do I really need to consider? I want my first to be the right tool for the job before I consider expanding. If I’m incorrect on any terminology please correct me, I’m here to learn. Thank you you anyone’s help and if this is not the appropriate thread please feel free to remove it. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/39dfMSX
