What's the difference between a gun belt and a sturdy thick quality (leather) belt?

Specifically for supporting a holster.Would a good belt that's not marketed as a gun belt be just as good? Or is there something special that makes a belt a gun belt? Any features? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2qqPeXk
