Moving to new state temporarily, thinking about getting CCL?

I'm moving out to New Mexico for 6-8 months while on a paid engineering internship and I'll have my first handgun by then. I'm noticing a lot of courses require you to be a resident of the state, but how does being a temporary resident affect that? Will I be turned away or allowed to take the course and get my CCL and go on to take other courses? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2PesSae
