What got you into conceal carrying?

Only a couple more weeks until i can legally conceal carry but post what first got you into conceal carrying.The first reason i am is because of my wife and daughter and i just like many of you are responsible for our family safety. Being in California made me realize there is evil in the world not only here but everywhere. Just today there were two incidents where i wish i had my gun. One was when we were walking into the mall and a group of suspect people were eying us walking in. Another was we were stopped at a train track because the gates were broken. A cop was there by himself monitoring the situation and a group of people were surrounding him complaining and raised the gates without permission. The cop was in a very bad situation and had something of happened i would feel very guilty not being only as a fellow cop in the military but a responsible citizen. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2CJy7bl
