Any of y'all had cervical (neck) spinal surgery? How soon after were you able to go shooting? What about a gun that is easier to handle?

I'm getting ACDF C5-6, C6-7. It has been affecting my strength/grip of my non-dominant hand. I am thinking about trading my shield (1.0) in for another gun that has an easier to rack slide. I plan to go test some out if I have time before surgery, but any suggestions?? I have lcp2 which I can rack just fine, but would like a higher caliber option. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2RRuhB9
