For a close range self-defense weapon would a Short Sword or one of those 'historically accurate' Greek Swords be better?

Live outside the U.S here. I'm trying to decide what is best out of the two. Both were 'sidearms' used by people who had a spear, crossbow or musket rather than primary weapons historically.

The short sword I am looking at on the listing is 58.3cm in total length without much detail on how long the blade for that one is, while the other Greek hoplite/phalanx sword is 74cm in total length with a 53cm long blade. Is the second option too long for self defense?

Greek sword is leaf shaped at the top as you expect, while the short sword is smaller at the top and wider below. The thing is that people no longer wear armor (Which is what they were designed to be used against) so would the short sword still be a good option? Given its mainly for thrusting although still can cut, just not as powerful as the Greek sword I think in that respect.

Because if its too short I imagine its easier for the attacker to get into a grapple with you if they decide to do that or bring their partner to come at you.

The situations I can think of is predominantly indoors or while you are running out of your house and your attackers are chasing you (In which it becomes an open field). The third scenario is if you are going camping or hiking somewhere in a national park and get attacked (Unlikely to always happen but still worth being prepared for if you go).
