I'll get to the shooting incident and will link article. So tonight was my first time carrying, just to go to the gas station which is 2 minutes away. I was nervous but I needed to pop the cherry eventually, and I'm glad I did. Felt fine, almost normal. I felt just a bit safer too. (Lesson: don't be scared!) 4 people shot within a mile of me, 1 of which was shot right where I get my mail everyday. My neighborhood was locked down all night, it was pretty scary as we couldn't get any updates, and we thought the shooters (armed with a "rapid fire rifle") were loose in our woods.
