Any other firefighters/EMT here who carry on the scene?

So conceal carry is allowed on the scene that VFD and EMT services respond to, unfortunately with how the SCBA’s strap over the bunker gear, conceal carry is impractical when responding to a fire. That’s not the case with a medical emergency though, but guys like me are still expected to get into our bunker gear when the call comes in.That being said, it’s not uncommon at all for EMT to be attacked by a patient who suddenly turned hostile. In fact years ago one of the rural departments nearby had someone who attacked the responders all because implied consent allows medical personnel to load unconscious victims into the ambulance and go to the hospital. Which is why I want to carry my CCW on medical scenes. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/38jwEqA
