Notify question

I know that when stopped in a traffic stop, you should notify the officer immediately when carrying in most states.I can’t seem to find what the rules are on a police encounter in the street. I would default to notifying them, but since you aren’t required to give ID unless you are reasonably suspected of committing a crime, would you still be required to notify the officer and/or produce your CCW license in that case? Additionally, are you then required to give up your firearm?Does anyone know the laws of officer notification in a non-traffic or non-crime suspicion scenario? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/36hSOHy
