Why are topics related to TMA or traditional martial arts not allowed here? Are TMA's totally useless?

I was a bit surprised when I saw that any posts regarding TMA's or Traditional Martial Arts are not allowed here.

Why is this?? Are TMA's totally useless? How can that be, when Karate, Kung Fu, Wing Chun has been considered very effective for self defense for hundreds of years now?
