Use the hook

I know it goes against current gun rag articles, but that hooked trigger guard is there for a reason, unless you've covered it up with lights/lasers. If you learn to use it properly, you can bring a pistol back down on target much more quickly. Just make sure that you press straight back or down to get the gun back on target, and don't torque the gun to the left which is what most new to the technique do.This was done in the 80's, and in fact I among other sent off guns like a Gold Cup to have it altered to have such a hook, and paid a premium to holsterers to accommodate it.
