Once a month our local gun club has an event for members to sharpen our CCW skills. The exercise is to draw from concealment and fire 5 shots into a 5 inch target from 7 yards in under 5 seconds. This particular month we were practicing "nightstand" draw from a table top. I did the exercise with my EDC (Sig p250) and averaged a respectable 4.1 seconds. I had my dads old SW 686 .357 revolver with the 6 inch barrel with me and thought it would be fun to try. With that massive hand cannon I did 2.79 seconds. It felt great.
