I'm thinking of getting a chain , of the sort you can clip onto your belt , for the purpose of having something on my person that I can use to defend myself if necessary . Part of my reasoning is the ( possibly false ) theory that it would be relatively risk free ( from the legal standpoint ) of carrying such a thing as opposed to a knife or a gun , I also think that it would allow for better " at a distance " use than say a club like self defense tool .
Anyways I'm looking forward to reading any and all thoughts on this matter , so fire away good folks !
