What are my options at my age?

Okay I tried posting this earlier tonight but my lack of good wording and sore education on the subject prevented me from getting the answers I need.Backstory: I live in rural FL and I often do work on and outside of my property, also on public protected land. One thing doesn’t change. Coyotes and Boars stand to be a massive problem. Although I’m not legally allowed to carry a firearm outside of my property yet (I’m 18) I need to prepare for when I do. I have a few AK and AR pistol builds that I love and am pretty hot with. My local sheriff informed me that if I carried a long gun with me, I’m breaking the law due to open carry prohibition. I have the opportunity to purchase a sling-holster that would sit on my shoulder and hang the rifle calibered pistol on my side, and covering it with a flannel with no printing would technically be considered concealed.Boars and coyotes respond poorly to handgun loads. I’ve magdumped a 9mm into a boar and was still charged and I got injured by the tusks. Not letting that happen again. I need my weapon to keep me safe when I work.As far as I know, I’m not breaking the law by concealing a large pistol build like an AR. Many ask why it’s necessary. Sometimes I have to cross lines from my property into public land, but varmint don’t respect land rights. When I work on moving cattle or repairing fence line, I’m in constant danger.My local sheriff informed me that if I was to be found with a large ass pistol build on my side, I could potentially be tried for illegal carry.My questions are this: what build would make this setup worthwhile, as I cannot have the gun be seen when on public land? And also, is my sheriff right in telling me that just because it makes them uncomfortable I could be jailed?When I last asked this everyone assumed I was a mall ninja who wants to carry an AK to Disney world. This place is dangerous and I take my work and safety seriously. Please help and provide me with any advice on why this is either fucking stupid or give me tips on what I should do to make it less sketch? I’m sick of hurting an animal to such a massive degree without being able to neutralize the threat quickly. 9mm ain’t doing it.
