Ammunition smell difference between JHP and FMJ?

Just wondering if anyone can smell a difference between FMJ and JHP ammunition. Last week i fired American eagle FMJ for practice and Federal HST (my carry ammo) to see how it performs and noticed a different smell coming from my gun.
