Looking to purchase a handgun, but unsure of what is "restricted" for purchase by LEO only

So I was considering buying something like this: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/walther-pdp-full-size-optic-ready-semi-auto-pistol​However, it seems like certain models are restricted to LEO use only.
