A thought on reciprocity

Probably preaching to the choir here but I had a thought that might be a good argument if discussing gun laws with those of...not our opinion. To conceal carry a handgun in the United States, one must (in most states) have a license. The requirements vary, but basically all have strict age and criminal history thresholds. They can be expensive, especially in states with frequent renewals. But my license isn't good everywhere in the country. Not every state trusts me. Some don't even want one setting foot on their soil with the wrong hardware. But my driver license, which I got at 16 and piloting 3,000lbs+ of metal at objectively dangerous speeds was a new experience, is fucking good everywhere. Every state in the union trusts anyone with a driver's license and literally any car with a tag, to go careening around their roads, no questions asked.Cars kill more people than guns, every year. But your gun license restricts you more than your car license in this country. And driving is a privilege, not a right! How is that fair? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/3dYSy4e
