I see a lot of first timers posting photos of there guns, which makes me understand why a lot of people don't actually carry...

First, welcome and good call on putting yourself/family in a better situation should something terrible happen! But multiple times a day, someone will post a photo of the full size dirty Harry they just bought as there first gun. While I'm obviously cool with whatever you choose, I'd like to remind you that we live in a time with tons of smaller, higher cap options that you'll actually find comfortable enough to carry daily.
