Specific carry guns for times of civil unrest?

I thought maybe with many off of work, panic high, and topics like this on people's minds... it would be an interesting time to discuss people's carry guns for civil unrest / pdw / vehicle travel / bug out / active shooter etc. type scenarios.I know some of you keep long guns or braced pistols of some nature in your vehicle or your backpack. I know some others put red dots on their pistols, and they allow for better accuracy at distance. And I know many others just carry a small iron sighted gun because that's fine for almost every other scenario we'd probably encounter.How do you feel about changing your carry gun for very fringe cases like this? And if you do prepare for something like this, what's your setup and why? Personally it has always seemed like such an unlikely scenario to me (especially since I live pretty rurally) that I've just ignored it, but people continue to amaze me with how panicked they have become and what they will do while panicked...Anyway, I thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss in light of current events. If you keep a long gun in your vehicle, have a satchel/backpack gun, carry a higher capacity gun during times like these, upgraded to a red dot for situations like this.... or don't and think it's all dumb, I'd love to hear your thoughts about it. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2UdaIFD
