Why are Colorado's CCW restrictions so strict?

I realize this question is somewhat open-ended, but why in the world is Colorado so strict on concealed weapons?They don't issue any non-resident permits (except for military personnel), they recognize virtually no non-resident permits from other states, and they reject permits from all three PST states.This is in sharp contrast to the much laxer policies of almost every other mountain or western state. Colorado appears to be nearly on par with California!Do we just chalk this up to the Blue influence and that's it? Is there something else I'm missing? via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2uWi1cf
