I went to the mall for a quick trip to pick up some shoes with my wife and left my gun locked in the car. I always carry when I can, this time I didn't. Someone tried to take my 6 month old daughter. The pit of my stomach when I realized I had no weapon and only my hands against an unknown number of persons. The person took off without further confrontation. A witness who gave us the heads up said she saw him staring and creeping closer. I owe her so much for her vigilance. There is a rash of people taking kids and I didn't know that since I was new in town only on vacation. If he had gotten his hands on her there is so much that could have gone wrong as I have a groin injury and not 100% capable of any kind of strength fight or running especially if my daughter was in his grasp. Edit: The reason I got out of my program was that the 30.07 law was passed and many places who didn't previously prohibit concealed carry now do so along with open carry. via /r/CCW http://bit.ly/2QXegbd
