TEXAS CCW: I need some advice CCW brethren.

Me and my gf of 6 months both applied for our CCW around the same time and we were both extremely honest in the application mine was pretty much 30 days approved, and hers has been placed on a mental evaluation hold which i will explain here shortly. Essentially she was married to her children's father for 8 years. He was in the army most of the time they were married so of course they did a ton of moving around and the entirety of her medical records have different doctors' names tied to them as result of the moves. One day around June of 2017 her now ex husband decides that he is going to beat her ass over something as miniscule as the way she did laundry. She reaches out to her family and voluntarily seeks out mental services at that time for 3 days, was never diagnosed with anything, and then ponied up got primary custody of her kids, the equity on their house, went to nursing school, and got her RN. Purchased a house and now for all intents and purposes the sole provider for her kids.I don't know what you guys have seen in your experience but 98% of the women i know would crumble to nothing in that situation. There's no way she can really get a letter from "the psychiatric doctor that knows her best" because the VA dead ass sucks and no doctor is going to sign off on it considering that they moved around so much.I know the texas licensing board has diddled around with some of you guys in the past and more than a few of you have sought and received recourse through your state reps offices. Please share your story through here. This woman is amazing, she would be the first person to try and save someone if she ever had to use her gun, and it literally broke my fucking heart to see this strong ass woman ask me to help her sell her gun and lose another piece of herself to her garbage ass ex. via /r/CCW https://ift.tt/2FQWhne
