does anyone have any insight on u-notch vs square notch?

I'm looking at getting either the Ameriglo GL-353 (glock UC) or GL-433 (Hackathorn) sights for my carry gun. the only difference between the two seems to be that the UC have a u-notch while the Hackathorn have a square notch. I've seen people say that the u notch makes sight acquisition quicker (which is what I'm looking for) and I've also seen people say the u notch is a gimmick that hinders your performance. The main reasons I chose these sights are the blacked out rear, tritium front, and good price. Does anyone have any experience with either or with u-notches in general?
