For those that recently have gone through the process, what was it like? Any tips and feedback much appreciated. I know Murrieta PD offers application waivers for residents, but it seems that their renewal fees are almost double than those of Riverside Sheriff's Dept ($52 renewal application fee and $95 renewal course fee).
